SSR™ is a process patented by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (brev. U.S. 6,645,323 – European patent N. 1322439) and acquired by IDRA with exclusive license, for the production of semi-solid alloy ready to be die casted.

Die temperature accuracy 模具温度的精度
The temperature of the die is an essential process parameter with direct effects on the quality of the castings. 模具温度对铸件的质量是一个很重要的工艺参数,起着直接的影响。
During the start-up and pre-heating phases it is better to utilize a specific die lube that has low coefficient of heat transfer, thus reducing start-up time and cost. 在刚启动和预热的阶段中,对于一个特定的模具来说,它是个较好的润滑油,具有低的热传导系数,可以用来减少启动时间和降低成本。
This can be automatically realized with SLS™ system.

The die temperature is measured by infrared sensors (without contact) and the control system interacts with machine and die lubricator to get constant die temperature so that start-up time and cost is reduced.
